Just before I bought this item I was unable to acquire much facts about it on the Web, so Im going to give a descriptive evaluation in hope that itll support consumers that were in the same situation as me :)

1st of all - in spite of the stock image showing the product being appropriate for fish, I personally would NOT advise putting fish in this aquarium. Its just too modest. I bought this item to put tiny invertebrates in (snails, shrimp and so on). Even modest goldfish frequently demand a minimum of 15 litres, this tank is only 7 litres capacity. As nicely as being too smaller the set up only contains an air pump - no filter (which is important, even with typical goldfish as it helps to eliminate waste from the water).

Visually the mini aquarium looks nice! I was at very first worried it would look low-priced and plasticy but its actually fairly wonderful top quality. I in particular love the hexagonal style and the simplicity of the set up (my set didnt come with instructions but it was extremely painless to put together), the tank itself is plastic, not glass. The air pump sits neatly at the back of the tank and the gravel sits on best and about it - though I would advocate buying much more gravel as the supplied bag isn't quite sufficient. The light is also quite good and consists of about 5 tiny LEDs built into the lid - though be aware that the lights and air pump have two separate power supplies so you might have to have to make confident you have a multi plug extension/surgemaster. The lid of the tank also has a small on/off switch for the light.

The accessories which come with the set up are okay but I personally used my own stuff. The kit comes with some tiny plastic plants, a small plastic rock cave and some white gravel. I ended up getting some live plants to put in my aquarium (which are also effective to the snails that I put in the tank).

One good factor about the air pump is that it only utilizes 1.five watts of power :) there is also a tiny wheel on the side which allows you to adjust the air pump flow so you can turn it up or down, to make additional or less bubbles.

The lid has a handy little flap at the front to put food into the tank.

I gave this product four/5 stars. Right here is a speedy run down of the pros and cons....

THE PROS

+ Terrific size for mini aquatic critters such as snails and shrimp.

+ Nice, modern day style. Light weight and simple to clean.

+ Effortless to set up.

+ Adjustable air pump, is also power friendly at only 1.5 watts.

+ Comes with accessories - fake plants, gravel and plastic cave.

+ Good lights, built into the lid.

+ Pretty safe, comes with splash lid to stop water acquiring to the lights.

THE CONS

- Too modest for fish, occasion hough product is advertised to be made use of for fish.

- No filter, again unsuitable for fish.

- Pump isnt loud but motor vibrates a bit.

- Only a modest quantity of gravel provided.

- No directions for set up, its quick to do but beginners may very well will need aid.

- Tubing for air pump would have been much better if longer.

- As far as I can tell this product only comes in a single colour - black. Desires more range (white, silver and so on).

this product was fine, just as it was described and it would have recieved a 5 star rating had it not been for the delivery we had been told by email that it had been dispatched on the Friday following we ordered it and told it would be with us inside 5 days, this meant that we had to wait in all week for the delivery, which we did. It lastly arrived by royal mail on the Monday more than a week later. I don't believe that royal mail took a week to deliver a rather simple parcel and surely a five day span is excessive.
