My mum bought this for her cat who is now 3 and she would not go close to it. She just couldn't seem to get the hang of what she was meant to do with it and seemed nearly scared of it. I have just recently acquired two young kittens (8 weeks) and they absolutely enjoy it. Shot straight to it when I let them out of their carry case and knew precisely what to do with it. I can't say whether or not this is due to them being kittens and my mums cat getting older or due to the truth that some cats like it and some don't (and I will not know till my two get older) but what I can say is that if you have kittens then I would suggest it. One of the kittens frequently wanders off on her personal and when I come across her she is upstairs playing with this all by herself. I am undoubtedly glad I have it.
UPDATE - 9 months on and my two kittens nevertheless play with this even though not nearly as much as they implemented to. I would say that with no fail they each use it at least twice a day for a mad five minutes of play. And as mentioned above, the female nevertheless wanders off to play alone :) I have also identified it to be a excellent garden toy - keeps them entertained and out of difficulty. If you have a playful kitten/cat I would absolutely recommend this item.
Just bought this for our 8 month old kitten, who was very interested as soon as she saw it and now will not leave it alone! Also tried it out on two younger kittens who both went nuts over it. The toy is actually well created, can be assembled in a handful of various strategies. The holes and slots in the track are the fantastic size for cats to put their paws in to swipe at the ball, and even though there are lots of points exactly where they can touch the ball, the track is created so it can't get out. The ends of the track are slightly raised so that the ball keeps moving for as lengthy as feasible after you (or the cat) set it going. You can honestly tell that a lot of believed has gone into designing this factor. Also the hilarious picture on the box is reason enough to buy it. Get 1!
